The impact of poverty upon children is multifaceted, effecting their physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual development. At Asian Partners International, we believe that every child should have access to resources that support holistic development.

In partnership with government agencies, we tackle this issue using an integrated development model, combating the complexities of child poverty at the local level. Through the practical implementation of shelter homes and educational programs, we provide children in north India with access to vital resources, addressing every aspect of their person – physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual.

Nurturing environments are key to ensuring that children are protected against the threat of exploitation. Our shelter homes offer a safe place for children to live; providing them with a warm, secure place to sleep, a place where they can consistently receive nutritious meals and a place where they no longer have to carry the burden of struggling to survive. By emphasizing safety and security, our shelter homes allow children to be children.

Education is one of the best tools at our disposal to battle poverty. Our schools offer children the chance to develop academically, and to grow in their learning capabilities and critical thinking skills. Through access to education, children have a chance to explore the world, pursue their interests and be encouraged towards their full potential. Because hunger affects children’s ability to focus, hindering their academic success, our schools ensure that all students are provided with healthy, nutritious meals that can support their physical and cognitive development throughout the day.

Despite the damaging impact of poverty, our mission remains to see every child lifted from a life of scarcity into a life of abundance.
